Matunuck: Rhode Island’s Sea Frontier

Matunuck Heritage Press explores the history, landscape, environment, economy, culture, and people of Rhode Island’s South County coast through rigorously researched, richly illustrated publications.

Its first book, Matunuck: Rhode Island’s Sea Frontier, traces the forces that shaped Matunuck, Potter Pond, Point Judith, and the surrounding coastal communities—from Indigenous homelands and colonial settlement to fisheries, hurricanes, tourism, conservation, and life along the ponds.
